Michelle Welch is a board-certified Doctor of Nurse Practitioner serving patients in the Antelope Valley.  Michelle helps adults and geriatric patients get the excellent care they deserve. She focuses on understanding her patients’ thoughts and beliefs and develops treatment approaches that work for them. She listens closely and gets to know patients well so she can support their health goals. 

Michelle has a special interest in palliative medicine. She helps patients manage chronic illnesses in the way they prefer and connects them with options for handling symptoms and living comfortably.

She started her career working as a nursing assistant in a hospital. She went on to complete her Registered Nursing Degree and worked in long term care facilities and hospitals across the country. She then went on to receive a Doctor of Nursing Degree and served as Vice President of Nursing teaching and managing nursing programs on multiple campuses. She has worked in many diverse areas including long term care, medical surgical, cardiology, preventative medicine, women's health, and psychiatry. Her experience in areas where there is limited access to healthcare has ignited a passion to provide access to high quality, affordable mental healthcare for all.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her dog and spending time with her family.
